Start with a strategy, not a trade
A strategy is your written plan for one kind of trade. In Astrella, a strategy has a name, the rules you promise to follow, and key points: the conditions you look for in a setup. You create strategies on the Strategies page. Start there, before you log a trade: Astrella scores how well you follow your own rules, so the rules need to exist first. Write each rule so that, once the trade is over, you can say plainly whether you followed it.
Log every trade and tick the rules you followed
When you log a trade on Add Trade, pick the strategy it belongs to, then tick each rule you followed. If you broke a rule, leave it unticked, even when the trade made money. This is where honesty matters: the Astrella Score is only as true as your ticks. Generous ticks make the score look better than your trading was, and then it cannot show you what to change. Add Trade lets you log at most 5 trades on a single date. That limit is a guard against overtrading: if you reach it, take it as a signal to stop for the day rather than a problem to work around.
Read your Astrella Score
The Astrella Score measures how well you follow your own rules, alongside results such as win rate (how often your trades make money) and profit factor (what your winning trades made compared with what your losing trades lost). Read it across a week of trades, not after a single one. One trade can make money while breaking your rules, or lose money while following all of them, so one trade on its own tells you little. A week of trades gives you a pattern to read rather than one outcome to react to.
The loop: strategy → trades → analysis → rework
Once you have logged trades with the rules ticked, open Reports to see which rules pay. For each rule, Reports compares how your trades went when you followed it with how they went when you broke it; the difference is the rule's lift. A rule needs at least 5 followed and 5 broken instances before its lift is shown, and an hour of the day needs 5 or more trades before it is judged. Even past those minimums, read a lift as an early signal rather than proof: it becomes more dependable as you log more trades. Next, rework the strategy on the Strategies page. Keep the rules that lift your results. A rule bleeds when following it leaves you worse off than breaking it; before you give one up, ask what it protects you from. You can edit or delete any rule or key point, even one your logged trades used. Deleting a rule keeps the wording your past trades logged, and Reports shows it as removed from the strategy, so the record behind each lift stays intact. You can also add new rules and key points, such as a stricter key point that weaker setups no longer meet. To retire a rule that bleeds, delete it rather than leaving it unticked: an unticked rule counts as broken. Then trade the reworked strategy, log those trades with the rules ticked, and read Reports again.

Before an entry: the AI predictor
Open the AI predictor before your next entry. Its Live Checklist lets you tick the conditions you can see, so the decision to enter rests on what is in front of you rather than on impulse. When the predictor uses AI to read a setup, it uses credits: money you add to your account in advance to pay for AI reads. To add credits on a phone, tap More at the bottom of the screen, then Add credits. On a computer, tap your balance at the top of the page. Each paid button shows the most that tap can cost before you tap it, unless Astrella cannot tell which AI model your reads will use — while that setting is still loading, or if it cannot be read, no price is shown rather than one that might be wrong. Without credits, the Live Checklist still scores the conditions you ticked, and names that result a free rules score rather than an AI read.
Key takeaways
- Write a strategy first: Astrella scores how well you follow your own rules.
- Tick only the rules you actually followed. The score is only as true as your ticks.
- Read your Astrella Score across a week of trades, not one result.
- Use Reports to see which rules pay, then rework the strategy on the Strategies page and repeat the loop. You can edit or delete any rule: your past trades keep the wording they were logged with.
- Before an entry, tick your conditions in the Live Checklist. AI reads use credits; without them you get a free rules score. Add credits from More on a phone, or from your balance on a computer.
