Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

These terms are an agreement between you and Astrella covering your use of https://astrella.in and everything in it. By signing in you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.

2. What Astrella is

Astrella is a personal trading journal. You record your own trades, define your own strategy rules, and the app organises that history, computes statistics from it, and can generate AI-written analysis of your logged decisions. It is a record-keeping and self-review tool for educational purposes.

3. Not investment advice

Nothing in Astrella is investment advice, a recommendation, or an offer or solicitation to buy or sell any security. We are not a registered investment adviser, research analyst, broker or portfolio manager with the Securities and Exchange Board of India or any other regulator, and no content in the app should be read as a personalised recommendation.

Scores, probabilities, signals, alerts and AI commentary are computed from your own records and from public market data. They describe patterns; they do not predict outcomes. Trading in securities and derivatives carries a substantial risk of loss, and past performance never guarantees future results. Every trading decision you make is yours alone, taken at your own risk. Consult a SEBI-registered adviser before acting on anything you see here.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract to use Astrella. You are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to you, including any restriction on trading imposed by your employer or regulator.

5. Your account

Accounts are created by signing in with Google. Keep your Google account secure — anyone who can access it can access your journal. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at support@astrella.in if you suspect unauthorised access. One person, one account; do not share your account or let anyone else use it.

6. Your content

Your trades, notes, strategies and everything else you enter remain yours. You grant us only the limited permission needed to run the service — to store, process, back up and display that content to you, and to send it to our AI provider when you request an analysis. We claim no ownership of it and will not publish it.

If you choose to share a strategy or playbook with other users, you are responsible for what you share, you confirm you have the right to share it, and you accept that it becomes visible to the users you share it with. Content shared by other users is theirs, not ours; we do not review or endorse it, and it carries the same disclaimer as everything else in section 3.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the service for anything unlawful, including market manipulation or insider trading;
  • present Astrella output as professional or regulated financial advice to other people;
  • attempt to access another user’s account or data;
  • scrape, resell or redistribute market data or app content, or use the service to build a competing product;
  • interfere with the service — probing, overloading, reverse engineering, or circumventing usage limits;
  • upload malware, or content that infringes someone else’s rights.

8. AI features

AI analysis is generated by a large language model. It is probabilistic, it can be confidently wrong, and it can misread your data. Treat every output as a prompt for your own thinking, not as a conclusion. Verify anything that matters before acting on it. AI features may be metered, rate-limited, changed or withdrawn.

9. Market data

Prices, ratings, institutional holdings and news shown in the app come from third-party public sources. That data may be delayed, incomplete or wrong, and we provide it as-is without any warranty of accuracy or timeliness. Do not rely on it for execution decisions.

10. Availability and changes

We aim to keep Astrella available but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The app is under active development: features may be added, changed or removed, and some are offered on an experimental basis. We may impose or adjust usage limits. We will give reasonable notice before a change that materially reduces functionality you depend on.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that any calculation, signal or analysis is accurate or profitable.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Astrella is not liable for any trading loss, lost profit, lost opportunity, loss of data, or any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of the service — including losses arising from reliance on any score, signal, alert, statistic or AI analysis. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or ₹1,000 if you paid us nothing.

You are solely responsible for your trading decisions and their outcomes.

13. Termination

You may stop using Astrella at any time and ask us to delete your account, as described in our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, or where required by law, and will give notice where we reasonably can. Sections 3, 6, 11, 12 and 14 survive termination.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts of Chandigarh have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page always reflects the current version, and we will notify you in the app or by email before a material change takes effect. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
