Understanding Credits and Astra AI

Astra AI is the part of Astrella that uses AI to read a setup or a chart for you, and its reads use credits: money you add to your account in advance to pay for AI reads. This article covers which features use credits, how a read is charged, and what still works when you have none.

What credits are

Credits are money you add to your account in advance, and every read Astra AI makes is paid for with them. On a phone, tap More at the bottom of the screen: your credits, and an Add credits button beside them, are near the top of the sheet that opens, and the same row is in the menu drawer. On a computer, your credits are at the top of the page, and tapping them opens the same Add credits sheet. Writing strategies, logging trades and reading Reports do not use credits.

What uses credits

These features use credits. On the AI Predictor page, the See the read button in the Live Checklist requests two AI reads at once: a verdict on the conditions you ticked, and a chart read of the stock against your strategy. Pattern Match, another tab on the same page, uses credits when it compares today's conditions with your recent trades in that stock. Ask Astra, the tab where you ask about your own journal, spends credits on each question it answers; a question it cannot answer because you have not logged any trades yet is not charged. On the Auto Copilot page, AI Supermind is a setting that stays off until you turn it on. When it is on and a strategy's rule check lines up, Astra AI reads the chart to confirm the direction before the alert fires, and that read spends your own credits.

How a read is charged

A read's price depends on how much AI work it uses, so Astrella only knows it once the read finishes, and charges in two steps. Before you tap a paid button on the AI Predictor page, the line under it shows the most that tap can take. If Astrella cannot tell which AI model your reads will use — while that setting is still loading, or if it cannot be read — there is no price line under the button at all, rather than a price that might be wrong. When a read starts, Astrella holds that much of your balance for it, and if your available balance cannot cover the hold, the read does not start. While the read runs, the held part shows next to your credits as held for a read in progress. When the read finishes, Astrella charges the read's price, never more than the amount it held. The rest of the hold goes back to your balance.

Adding credits

Wherever you tap Add credits — in the sheet behind More, in the menu drawer, or on your credits on a computer — the same Add credits sheet opens. You choose an amount in rupees, and that amount becomes credits. Each payment also carries a flat payment-gateway fee, which is not added as credits. Before you pay, the sheet shows what you pay today, how much of it becomes credits, and how much covers the payment gateway. Credits appear once the payment is confirmed. Credits are not refundable, including any unused balance, and the Terms say how long they last.

When you have no credits

Without credits, the Live Checklist keeps working: it turns the conditions you ticked into a verdict and labels it a free rules score, not an AI read. The AI Predictor page says so in a line above the tabs when you have no credits, with an Add credits button that opens the sheet without taking you off the page. The chart read does not run. Pattern Match's comparison with your past trades sits behind a button that shows its price, and tapping it with no credits opens Add credits instead of running. Auto Copilot keeps running its rule check and skips the AI Supermind read. Ask Astra needs credits to answer: once you have trades logged, sending a question with no credits opens Add credits instead of an answer.

Key takeaways

  • Credits are money you add in advance to pay for AI reads. Add credits from More at the bottom of the screen on a phone, or from your credits at the top of the page on a computer.
  • The Live Checklist's AI reads, Pattern Match's comparison with your past trades, Ask Astra's answers about your journal, and AI Supermind on Auto Copilot use credits.
  • Astrella holds part of your balance for a read, then charges the read's price, never more than the hold, and releases the rest.
  • You pay in rupees plus a flat payment-gateway fee, credits appear once the payment is confirmed, and credits are not refundable.
  • Without credits, the Live Checklist still gives a free rules score, while the chart read, Pattern Match's comparison with your past trades and Ask Astra's answers need credits.
